This refresher course is for all experienced pump operators wanting to update or reinforce "rusty" skills or prepare for the next PSFA Pro Board /IFSAC Driver/Operator-Pumper certification test. Students should have previously completed the requirements for Driver/Operator-Pumper certification or comparable training. Students must bring full turnout gear, and it is recommended that they bring their pumper to the second night of class for comfortability and proper preparation for the certification. Minimum age: 18 years old at start of course and meet the requirements for PSFA Driver/Operator Pumper Exam. Student must provide bunker gear, notebook, pen or pencil, and an pumper; no pumper is needed the first night of class. Course is a Non-PSFA CEU program. Total hours = 12, CEUs = 1.2

  • Runs:  Monday & Wednesday, October 26 & 28, & November 2, 6-10 p.m.

    Prerequisite: 18+ & meet the requirements for PSFA Driver/Operator Pumper Exam. Requirements: Pen/Pencil, Notebook suitable for classroom and field use, PPE (day of skills), and proper arrangements for apparatus usage with their department or associate student departments (Apparatus is not required the first day of class). The course is a Non-PSFA CEU program. Total hours = 12, CEUs = 1.2. Min/Max for class: 6 / 24. $70 Tuition + $10 material fee

    • Runs:  Saturday, November 14, report time of 7:30 a.m.; 

    • Special Note:  Exam Limited to 10 candidates; See Certification section for further details and directions for application.

    • Exam Fee:  $250.00

    • Application Deadline:  Monday, November 2 by 6 p.m. at the PSTC
