This is Level 2 of 3 Levels of training, in the program builds on the foundational skills learned in Fireground Support (Level 1) and prepares students for Firefighter I certification in accordance with NFPA 1010: Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications. Students will receive instruction and practice across a broad range of fireground functions. Topics include the safe use self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA); ground ladder operations for access, rescue, and ventilation; and an understanding of building construction as it relates to fire behavior and structural collapse. Training also covers forcible entry techniques, coordinated ventilation, search and rescue procedures, and hoseline deployment for fire attack. Students apply suppression tactics in both interior and exterior scenarios, develop firefighter survival techniques for emergency situations, and learn salvage, overhaul, and property conservation methods. The program concludes with modules on firefighter rehabilitation and wildland firefighting fundamentals, ensuring readiness for incident operations. Extended version includes HMO24, and Exam Prep for NFPA 1010 Firefighter I Certification.  Prerequisites:  EL26-ELFS (Level 1) & 17+. Requirements:  Turn-Out Gear (TOG) & SCAB with spare cylinder, not needed the 1st night of class, Fundamentals of Firefighter Skills, Fifth Edition (ISBN:9781284298000).
