Rope Rescue Technician is the last course in the Rope Rescue Track. This course is designed to bring the new student to the NFPA 1006 (2021) Technician level. Topics will include Horizontal rope rescue systems, Artificial high directional anchoring systems, Personal skills on rope, Patient management on rope, Victim pickoff, and Special rescue disciplines. The Rope Rescue Operations Course will provide students with the knowledge and skills to operate at the NFPA 1006 (2021), Rope Rescue Technician Level (Chapter 5.3). Prerequisites: Rope Rescue Operations (RORO). Student Equipment/Supply Needs: Note taking supplies, Instructor provided handouts, rescue style helmet, gloves, eye protection, and sturdy ankle supporting footwear, and Jones & Bartlett Rope Rescue: Principles and Practice, Fifth Edition (required).

Prerequisites: Rope Rescue Operations (RORO), Requirements:  18+, Jones & Bartlett Rope Rescue: Principles and Practice, Fifth Edition, Note taking supplies, rescue style helmet, gloves, eye protection, and sturdy ankle supporting footwear. The course is a PSFA CEU program. Total hours = 40, CEUs =4.0. Min/Max for class: 6 / 12. Tuition / Material Fee:  $450.00 & $100.00
