Firefighter I Certification Exam (PSFA Pro Board/IFSAC) - Spring 2026

Firefighter I Certification Exam (PSFA Pro Board/IFSAC) Professional Certification Program(s) are designed to recognize emergency service personnel that have demonstrated proficiency and an ability to do the job in accordance with nationally recognized peer-developed standards via the NFPA standards for Fire Service Professional Qualifications. An individual certified to one of the many levels offered will have demonstrated competency in the knowledge and skills required to perform at a particular fire service professional qualification level. Obtaining a certification will augment the professional competency of you and your department. Please note application deadlines! Your completed application with required certificates of training AND payment must be received no later than 4 p.m. per the deadline dates to be considered! All prices for certification are based on required candidate to evaluator ratios. Additional costs may be applied based on number of candidates testing. PSFA Professional Certification Programs are both National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board) and the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC). Candidates must meet the requirements per the PSFA Certification Department to sit for the exam.
