WCCC Exclusive custom eight (8) hour department burn day. Students will work as a member of a fire suppression team to attack, extinguish and ventilate a live fire scenario. Utilizing the Class A Burn Building, the team must know the use of self-contained breathing apparatus, hose line advancement, ventilation techniques and an accountability system to participate. Students must be 18 years old and will supply personal protective gear, including: helmet, hood, coat, pants, boots, gloves, SCBA and a PASS device. Each student's gear will be evaluated prior to participation. The facial hair policy is in effect for this class as each team member will be the nozzle personal for a live-fire exercise. Bring an extra SCBA cylinder, if possible. Limit 30 students. Student Equipment & Supplies: Pen/Pencil, Notebook; helmet, gloves, turnout coat, turnout pants, boots, protective hood, and protective eyewear (safety glasses or goggles), and SCBA and spare cylinder required. Course is a Non-PSFA CEU program. Total hours = 8, CEUs = 0.8
