Driver/Operator Mobile Water Exam Skills Preparation with Rural Water Movement Review

Students attending this program will become familiar with basic concepts and techniques utilizing large diameter hose and tank trucks to move water to the rural fire ground. They will demonstrate safe, efficient methods for moving water for fire extinguishment purposes. This program will also prepare the student for the PSFA Pro Board/IFSAC Driver/Operator – Mobile Water certification test. Students should have previously completed the requirements for Driver/Operator – Mobile Water certification or comparable training. Students must bring full turnout gear, and it is recommended that they bring their tanker to the second night of class for comfortability for proper preparation for the certification. Student Equipment/Supply Needs: Pen/Pencil, Notebook suitable for classroom and field use, fire fighter protective clothing (day of skills), and proper arrangements for apparatus usage with their department or associate student departments (Apparatus is not required the first day of class). Prerequisite: Minimum age: 18 years old at start of course and meet the requirements for PSFA Driver/Operator Mobile Exam. Student must provide bunker gear, notebook, pen or pencil, and an tanker; no tanker is needed the first night of class. Course is a Non-PSFA CEU program. Total hours = 16, CEUs = 1.6
