Allows currently certified Firefighter I students to review various firefighting skills and equipment issues in preparation to take the Firefighter II certification test. The subjects include: Communications, Fire Behavior, Safety, Water Supply, Hose Testing, Fire Streams and Foam, Protective Systems, Building Construction, Ladder Testing, Rescue Practices, Ventilation, Fire Cause Determination, Fire Suppression and Pre-incident Planning. First night of class is a walk-through of the application process and how to properly prepare the residential and commercial pre-plans; no TOG/SCBA is required that evening. In addition, the first night of class is spaced out from the other classes to permit the candidate time to work on their application, while potentially completing other required courses of completion for the Firefighter II exam, such as the vehicle rescue series & HMOR. Student Equipment/Supply Needs: Pen/Pencil, Notebook suitable for classroom, & TOG/SCBA (not needed first night of class). Prerequisite: Minimum age of 18+, & Firefighter I certification, all additional requirements for FF II exam per PSFA Certification Department. Course is a Non-PSFA CEU program.
