Special Note: The Pennsylvania State Fire academy is changing the vehicle rescue series in the fall of 2024 and going from a 44-hour program to a 60-hour program. The new series will be Vehicle/Machinery Rescue – Awareness (16-hrs), Operations (28-hrs), & Technician (16-hrs) level. This new program is to include, but not confirmed at this time to include two (2) different certification versions 1) Department of Health Technician (currently offered) and/or Pro Board Certification for Vehicle/Machinery Rescue I. Please Note – we have not received all the information at this time, and the fall schedule and title is subject to change when the final version is released. We have requested to pilot the Pro Board certification in the fall as well, but no guarantees can be made due to multiple training facilities requesting this certification at one time. For those completing the PSTC series, the new piloted Pro board will be provided for free at this time, except for material fees. Material fees have yet to be determined at this time.
